Here at the Rocky, our absolute passion is Northumberland. In fact, our Company is called ‘For the love of Northumberland Ltd’. As a member of the ”Produced in Northumberland” scheme, we aim to source the vast majority of our menu from local suppliers and, where possible, also sourced in this great county.
As the Rocking Horse Courtyard and Cafe expands, our small shop is evolving organically. We have a growing range of products made by local craftspeople; from cushions to bags to dog coats…and much more!

R.Ord & Hens was set up by my self Rob Ord, we have been producing the best free range eggs for the last 12 years. We are a small family run business with my wife, brother, mother and farther all involved in the business along with my two boys felix and Laurie. We pride our selves on the service we provide and the quality of egg we produce. Local is best!

Owner and founder Colyn Pentleton is a fully qualified Master Baker and Confectioner, having been in the trade for over 30 years. Colyn trained under a Grand Master and attended some of the best colleges in the North East.
The Farm Bakery was established in 2001. It is based at Lee Moor Farm, Rennington just outside of Alnwick, and this is how we came to call it “The Farm Bakery”. We wanted to create “a great quality product that lasts”.
The Artisan Bacon Company is a project headed by Jeff Roland, Partner of Family Butchers, RC Roland & Son. Established in 1904 RC Roland & Son are based in Amble, Northumberland and have a glowing reputation for the quality of their meats, both locally and nationally. Over the last few years we have noticed an increased interest in our bacon lines, both smoked, dry and sweet cured which has led us to introduce a number of specialised bacons using locally sourced ingredients.
